  • WELCOME!

I'm David. I have a black-belt in nerd. I also have the most amazing job because I get to play with light. I'm an orphan hugger. Cheese cake lover. And I love to travel.

One of my favorite things to do is shop with my wife. Only because its fun to act like I don't but secretly want to buy stuff anyway. I love shirts and ties from Express and jeans from the Buckle. They make the best jeans ever!

I was two-time state champion and a runner up in high school cross country. I also traveled across the Midwest playing soccer and was in a band in high school. We played at a local youth group on Wednesdays and that's where I met my high school sweetheart and wife Nicole.

I was born in Brazil and adopted by my parents. I have a heart for orphans and recently went to Uganda to photograph 1,200 orphans and students for an organization called Orphan Justice Mission. It was an amazing experience and I hope to work with them again soon.

Germantown Hills Children’s Photographer | The Bender Family

If you take a family to the middle of nowhere (Germantown Hills and Metamora nowhere I might add) you’ll end up with some great photos like this. I had the chance to take photographs for a friend of mine. It was a low keep photo shoot. We just walked around the backyard for a while here in town and when that got boring, we headed a local farm between Germantown Hills and Metamora. Little Miss Bender liked the horse and the other animals there. Of course the horse liked being fed too. I’ll keep this short and sweet. The pictures can doe the rest of the talking for me. Enjoy!

PS. She so cute!

Washington Family Portrait Photographer | The Meinhold Family

Ok. So where do I start with this little guy? Downtown Washington square + toys + a little boy with no nap = who cares! He wanted to play and thats all we wanted him to do. I just stood there and did my thing while he did his. It worked great. I didn’t think that Washington going to be a good location for us with all the noise. He didn’t seem to even notice it. He was more concerned about his truck than anything else. I’m sure if you have children you’ve been in the same situation as we were.

From there we headed to Washington Park near Lincoln Grade School. The open grass, warm weather, and energy we still had left fit together like peas in a pod. Then we spotted a Cosy Coupe. He had to ride in it. It reminded me of my childhood and how I always wanted one, but didn’t get one (Now I can use my nephews one. I usually get stuck:)

In my opinion, this was a great shoot. I’ll be honest, as soon as I heard he didn’t get a nap, I was pretty doubtful. I think the pictures sing a different tune. Being the photographer was easy. Getting him to play was even easier. What do you think about the photographs? Feel free to comment below.

PS. The middle photograph was my favorite

PPS. No, I take that back. My favorite one is last photograph. Look at those eyes. He was born to ride!

Metamora Family Portrait Photographer | Lueddecke Family

From Germantown Hills to a small farm in Metamora, this portrait session was very playful. The Lueddecke family didn’t have a specific place they wanted to go, so we headed to a family farm in Metamora, IL. There is one more little one on the way. Congratulations Lueddecke family! We’ll see you after the baby comes;)

These are just a few of my favorite pictures from the session. Anyone else have a farm and want pictures?

Peoria Senior Photographer | Miss Phillips

From Metamora to Peoria, I can’t really say that senior shoot was good… it was AMAZING. The weather was perfect, the the subject was a natural model, and well… I think the pictures speak for themselves.
